Nature Reserve Altmühltal

 

In the heart of Bavaria tempts a region which offers leisurely holidays: the Altmühltal. Germany's second largest nature reserve (3000 square kilometres) is a well-developped holiday paradise and it is also cheap. Just come with your whole family. Load the bikes onto the car, pack your hiking boots and bathing suit and rent a boat. South of Nuremberg extends this story book landscape from Gunzenhausen in the west to Kelheim in the east.
